PROVIDENCE, RI – Today, after U.S. Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) was found guilty of taking bribes and other serious federal charges, U.S. Senator Jack Reed urged him to resign immediately, stating:

“Senator Menendez was given a presumption of innocence, which is extended to all defendants.  He had his day in court and got a fair trial.  The jury has spoken.  Senator Menendez has been found guilty and should resign.”
