WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Jack Reed today issued the following statement on the passing of former Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor Thomas Ross DiLuglio:

“I’m saddened to hear of the passing of my friend, Tom DiLugio.

“Tom was a dedicated public servant.  He was also an adept, sharp-witted political commentator. Many Rhode Islanders will remember Tom for his insightful commentary and willingness to mix it up with pundits on shows like Rhode Island PBS’s ‘A Lively Experiment.’

“Tom’s legacy will live on through the contributions he made to our communities and the state.  From advocating for our state’s economy to helping establish the first Rhode Island chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, I am grateful for his outstanding service and I will miss his friendship.

“My thoughts are with Tom’s wife, Ann, and the entire DiLuglio family.”
