WASHINGTON, DC—Tonight, after Iran launched hundreds of one-way attack drones and cruise missiles at Israel, U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI), the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, issued the following statement:

“I condemn Iran’s violent attack against Israel. This widespread assault was reckless and provocative. I salute the Israelis, Americans, and regional partners who worked together to shoot down hundreds of Iranian drones and missiles throughout the night.

“The United States will continue to stand alongside and assist Israel as it works to defend itself. Iran must immediately cease its attack, and I urge Israeli leaders to act with prudence and wisdom.”
