WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Jack Reed released the following statement after another mass-shooting took place today in San Bernardino, California:

“Seeing another mass-shooting like this is heartbreaking.  And while we don’t know all the specifics here, the fact that some in the Senate still refuse to even hold a vote on legislation that would help address gun violence is appalling.  There are commonsense steps we can take to make current background checks stronger, close loopholes to prevent terrorists from acquiring firearms, and block the interstate pipeline of illegal guns.  It is long past time for Congress to take meaningful action.”
