Senator Reed joined Governor Gina Raimondo, State Representative Brian Kennedy, and officials from TF Green Airport to help announce new Sun Country Airline services from T.F. Green to Nashville, Tennessee and Minneapolis, Minnesota. A long-time advocate for expansion and modernization for T.F. Green, Senator Reed voted in October to pass a five year reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), allocating about $90 billion to federal aviation programs over the next five years. He has also led efforts at the federal level to work with the FAA on plans to invest approximately $110 million in modernizing T.F. Green and expanding the runway.
