Today, Senator Reed joined Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) Director Peter Alviti to tour several transportation projects around the state.  As the Ranking Member of the Appropriations Transportation and Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Subcommittee, Senator Reed advocates for the state’s interests and works to improve our transportation infrastructure and accelerate economic growth.  He recently led efforts to secure a $25 million BUILD grant to upgrade the Washington Bridge and has delivered federal funds to help the state upgrade our roads and bridges, as well as our airports, railways, ports, and bike paths.  Today’s tour included stops in North Kingstown, Warwick, Johnston, Cumberland, Providence, and Cranston.
