Senator Reed joined Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Governor Raimondo, and leaders in the undersea warfare (USW) industry at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport’s 150th anniversary celebration. The commemoration featured the unveiling of a new monument dedicated to the men and women who researched, developed, tested, evaluated, and manufactured the weapons and underwater systems vital to the nation’s undersea warfare superiority through two World Wars, the Cold War and other key periods of the past 150 years.
