Senator Reed joined the Rhode Island Community Food Bank for the release of the organization’s 2017 Status Report on Hunger. Founded in 1982, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has since distributed millions of pounds of food to those in need of assistance through its network of member agencies across the state. To meet demand, the Food Bank solicits food donations from the public and from the food industry, including supermarkets, food manufacturers and growers.
