Senator Reed presented Robert Pine with medals his father, Joseph Pine Jr., earned but never recieved for his service in WWII. Medals recieved include the Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Badge, Presidential Unit Citation w/one Bronze Star, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/two Bronze Stars, World War II Victory Medal, and Rifle Marksman Badge. Mr. Pine passed away on October 4, 1987, and was a resident of Providence.
