Senator Reed helped honor and celebrate the legacy of the late-U.S. Senator Claiborne Pell, who would have turned 100 last November, at Salve Regina University in Newport. Claiborne de Borda Pell served as a U.S. Senator of Rhode Island for six terms from 1961 to 1997.
