Senator Reed joined representatives from the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) in touring local small businesses in Wickford and urging Rhode Islanders to shop locally. The small business tour, which began at Tavern by the Sea in the center of the village, stopped at multiple business locations. The tour took place ahead of the national “Small Business Saturday” campaign, which was celebrated this year on Saturday, November 25 and is designed to highlight the impact and importance that small businesses have on our local communities and the economy. Tour stops included the Wickford Gourmet Factory Outlet, Green Ink, Green River Silver Company, Mermaid’s Purl, and J.W. Graham.
