Senator Reed helped to recognize the achievements of local Eagle Scout James Bennett of Troop 11, Coventry. Bennett’s Eagle Scout Project was to host a Veterans Appreciation Luncheon, and he welcomed veterans who wanted to attend “in appreciation of their service to our country and the sacrifices made by them to keep our country safe.” The event was held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9404 in Coventry.
