Senator Reed, a member of the Appropriations Committee who has delivered key funding for federal research, joined Governor Raimondo and others at the ground breaking of the Wexford Innovation Center in the heart of Providence’s jewelry district. Developed by Wexford Science and Technology, the Wexford Innovation Center will be a multi-purpose hub of innovation in the city. Brown University’s School of Professional Studies and the Cambridge Innovation Center are serving as the project’s anchor tenants. According to a study by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation, the center will house up to 800 jobs once the project is fully operational.
