Senator Reed, the Ranking Member of the Armed Services Committee, members of the Congressional Delegation, and officials from the University of Rhode Island, U.S. Navy, the Rhode Island Manufacturers Association, Polaris MEP, and others gathered at Innovate Newport to announce the launch of the 401 Tech Bridge Advanced Materials Center. Tech Bridge is a network of more than 150 creative Rhode Island composites and textile businesses, governmental organizations, major corporations, and academic institutions who collaborate to advance and improve operations of Rhode Island businesses and who develop advanced textile and composite materials such as those used by the Navy and the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority.
